This article is going to show you how to use the Asus Flash Tool to flash firmware to any Asus smartphone or compatible device.
To flash your phone with the tool, you will need to have these few things.
You will need a Windows PC, a USB cable, and your device drivers.
Download the firmware file you want to flash to your phone.
Extract the firmware file to your PC.
Download the Asus USB driver and install it to your PC.
Download the Asus Flash Tool and extract the file and install the tool.
Launch the Asus Zenfone Flash Tool from your PC.
Click on the Disconnected on the tool to initiate connection between your phone and the PC.
Click the Browse button to locate the firmware you extracted earlier.
Load the firmware to the tool.
Click on Start to begin the flashing.
Your phone will will attempt to boot to recovery mode to begin the flashing.
When the phone goes off, hold volume down + volume up to take the phone to recovery.
At recovery mode, choose Apply Update from ADB and click on resume on the tool to resume the flashing.
The flashing takes few minutes to complete.
The flashing is complete and you have successfully flashed your phone with Asus Flash Tool.
Reboot your phone to the new software experience.
